BONUS 1: FREE professional manuscript formatting

Self-publishing authors often struggle with getting their manuscript formatting right. To cut down on the time you have to spend on rudimentary formatting, we format manuscripts for free prior to editing. In turn, the only commitment on your end is recommending our design services to the author. It doesn’t matter if the author finally decides to work with us or not.

How we format a manuscript:

  • Apply paragraph and heading/subheading styles.

  • Add page breaks.

  • Remove extra spacing and breaks.

  • Replace tabs with proper indents.

  • Set font and font size consistency.

After approval of the formatted manuscript by the author, we deliver a clean Word document ready for you to edit.

BONUS 2: Editing without pressure.

Self-publishing authors often grow anxious when editing takes longer than expected, delaying the design process to begin. We can import the manuscript directly into our interior design layout as linked text. That way, editing and design happen at the same time. Whenever you or your author make changes to the original manuscript, it automatically updates to our design layout too from the start to last-minute changes!

This helps to achieve three things at once:

  • Allows both interior book design and editing to happen simultaneously.

  • Reduces time and costs by reducing the manual work involved if further edits occur.

  • Removes human error and miscommunication between editor, author, and designer. We don’t have to rely on someone telling us text was changed, it updates automatically.

Since your author can see the changes being implemented, they have more visibility and less anxiety over timeframe. Ultimately, this gives them peace of mind and relieves pressure placed on you.

BONUS 3: Commission from every project.

You receive a 10% commission from every confirmed project. As soon as your author books our services, we transfer you a 10% commission right away!

This means between USD100 and USD300 per project, depending on the scope of work.

BONUS 4: Book covers are your powerful marketing tools.

Showcasing your work as an editor starts with showing the cover of the book you edited. A great-looking design will help you endorse your work because authors may perceive the cover design as the foretaste of your work.

We provide you with upload-ready visuals of the book you edited, including photorealistic mockups of the cover and interior that will make your online portfolio look enticing.

Your profile is also available on our website, promoting your editing services. — The Editing Service Page is coming soon!

BONUS 5: Team collaboration for a quality result

Add value to your editorial service by offering your authors a collaborative team that will help them to achieve high-quality in every aspect of their book project; from the words to the visuals.

Collaborating with designers means you become part of the book design process. Your understanding of a book is a valuable input that helps us understand the right approach to the design.

Engaging the design process means ensuring quality results.
