Tracing the different knowledge, ideas, beliefs and superstitions surrounding sexual concepts and practices, the Great Encyclopedia of Sex analyzes the interpretations of sex according to different cultures from around the world. In a light-hearted tone, the author retells the history of humankind from the point of view that gives us one of the most important and vital acts for it: sex. From the most ancient to the most current terms, readers will discover the history and sexual symbolism of peoples and cultures around the world.

The biggest challenge in designing this book cover lay in addressing possible objections to overtly sex-related imagery and sexist messages. As such, the most effective recipe was a minimalistic, purely typographic approach, allowing the impact to lie in the most provocative ingredient: the title itself, seductively dressed in brilliant red.
