The World of Fear is an international project by Storytel Original, in which talents from India, Holland, Denmark, Finland, Spain, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Egypt take us deep into the worlds of legends and superstitions of their people. From ancient tombs and possessed dolls, through diabolical cars, flesh-eating worms, and, yes, a haunted sauna, The World of Fear takes readers on a journey to different worlds of fear. Titles within the series include Living Dead, The Shadow, Ada Says..., Sauna Requiem, The Kid on the Train, The Black Mercedes, A Sinister Story, Behind the Walls, Welcome to Amsterdam, and The Curse of Sobek.

While each story is unique and based on the traditions and lore of the countries they originated from, our cover cooks used an overarching design recipe to unite the terrifying flavors of each cover within the series. For each cover design, the stories' sources of fear served as the main ingredient, distilled and brought to life through an in-house 3D illustration. A neutral, unevenly textured background adds a hint of tension and uneasiness, while a consistent title font and painted brush strokes in varying colors complete the covers.
