Depths of Dante

(2021)
Mystery

In this dark novel, Dante Trakas happens upon Hell. As Dante descends, he explores the furthest reaches of himself, ever pushed by the Devil's deceitful questions, and with each page, his escape seems less likely. Hell: a world unthinkable, where he encounters a sick wall of bodies, beasts that defy imagination, and psychological warfare on the way to the Devil's castle. The final standoff, deep within Hell's mountains, will leave the reader breathless.

Depths of Dante is a rabbit hole into the psychological and geographic depths of one man and how he reflects humanity. The book's cover design uses an anguished photograph of Dante himself to reflect the torture felt as he explores the further reaches of himself, ever pushed by the Devil's deceitful questions. In turn, this also illuminates the darkness within the book's pages. The image, which received a fiery sepia treatment, appears as if it's been folded over and over again, alluding to mankind's historic mistakes constantly being repeated.
