A Scandal in Bohemia
Arthur Conan Doyle
(2017)
Classics

First published in 1891, A Scandal in Bohemia is the first short story and the third overall work featuring Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional detective Sherlock Holmes. It is the first of the 56 Holmes short stories written by Doyle and is notable for introducing the character of Irene Adler, who is one of the most famed female characters in the Sherlock Holmes series despite appearing in only one story.

This audiobook cover design celebrates Sherlock Holmes’ 125th anniversary and makes use of a simple typographic design where the image takes center stage. Inspired by political acts of erasing inconvenient images from historical records, our cover cooks used Photoshop to remove the head of a man in a vintage portrait to signify the erasing of the identity of the royal personage within the story.
